Local car wash hosting benefit for Harrisburg family

A local car wash will host a benefit this week for a Harrisburg family who recently lost its son to a lifelong battle with a degenerative muscular disease.

Silverstar Cash Wash will offer free car washes, including vacuuming, to the public from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Freewill donations will be accepted to benefit Logan Morey’s family.

“We are honored to be working with the Harrisburg School system on this event,” Silverstar Car Wash co-founder Ryan Holte said in a press release. “We hope that this will allow the community to enjoy our new wash, and give them an opportunity to help a local family.”

The benefit will be held at the new Silverstar Car Wash located at 6345 S. Louise Ave.
