Silverstar Car Wash’s new Minnesota Avenue location opened Tuesday, and the business is running a free wash special to give people a chance to try out the new spot.

A grand opening will be held Tuesday for Sioux Falls’ biggest Silverstar Car Wash yet.

Silverstar has opened another car wash in Sioux Falls. Freezing temperatures didn’t stop Silverstar from opening its ninth and largest car wash in Sioux Falls. It’s a project nearly two years in the making.

There’s a big pile of gravel on the land, which is a reminder of the once bustling concrete plant on the former Gage Brothers property near the intersection of 12th Street and Interstate 29. But the gravel is also how new owners are using the past to build for the future, which is now called Crossroads.

Will Bell’s career has taken him into multiple industries, as far as California and Washington, and ultimately back to his native Sioux Falls.

Fundraising efforts like that of Silverstar are what help Feeding South Dakota fulfill its mission.

The 2021 season will mark the third year of the annual Silverstar Haunted Car Wash, and organizers hope this will be the best one yet.

To celebrate the official opening of its new location, Silverstar Car Wash presented a donation to Sioux City’s Ronald McDonald House Thursday.
